Blazing Grace Nephrology (BGM) was formed in 2019 by Dr. Obioma Onuorah, a pioneer in the treatment of kidney disease and hypertension in southeastern Washington State and whose influence extends to the British Virgin Islands and West Africa.
Dr. Onuorah arrived in the Tri-Cities in mid-2004, when the region was losing its only nephrologist. Dr. Onuorah stayed the course, serving not just all members of the Tri-Cities community but also those in Northeast Oregon in their journey with kidney disease and hypertension. Dr. Onuorah then worked with Mid Columbia Medical Associates, later acquired by Kadlec Clinic until 2011. Dr. Onuorah in Sept 2011 then joined Trios Medical Group to form, from scratch, a viable nephrology practice. |

Dr. O's quest for excellence never wavered. In 2019, he decided to develop his own practice: Blazing Grace Nephrology. BGM opened its door on October 1st, 2019. Then, the COVID-19 pandemic hit. Regardless, Dr. O never wavered nor did the staff.

Before his arrival in the Tri-Cities, Dr. O practiced in Muskogee, Oklahoma and Orangeburg, South Carolina. He completed his internal medicine residency in New York City in 1998 and fellowship in Nephrology at Yeshiva University in the Bronx, NY in 2000. Dr. O is board-certified in Internal Medicine-Nephrology.
